Learn how to describe typography, spacing, layout, and visual hierarchy; turn design references into actionable instructions; and guide agents through focused rounds of critique and refinement.

85% of the Sites We Build Don't Need WordPress Anymore

    Presentation Release: 10:00 PST / 13:00 EST / 18:00 UK / 07:00 NZDT (Next Day)

    Presentation Details

WordPress has been a staple of our workflow since 2005, but everyone knows it's not without issues, baggage, and headaches. What if there was a way to get the core power of WordPress without all the problems of WordPress? What if 85% of the sites you build could be maintenance-free, headache free, lightning fast, and essentially hosted for free? That possibility is now here and it doesn't require Astro, AI, EmDash, or learning some crazy new CMS.

    AI Words (Kinda) Matter

    Presentation Release: 11:00 PST / 14:00 EST / 19:00 UK / 08:00 NZDT (Next Day)

    Live Q&A: 11:45 PST / 14:45 EST / 19:45 UK / 08:45 NZDT (Next Day)

    Presentation Details

Increasingly, the copy that matters the most to sales isn’t the words on your website—at least not directly.

What matters now is the words AI generates about a brand, on the fly, when someone is considering hiring them … or their competitor.

In my presentation, I’ll introduce you to my “Nerdy Wordy Approach to AI Search Optimization” … a.k.a getting the bots to say what you want them to.

I’ll walk you through the 4-step process I’ve honed after a year of helping 16 different small companies with small websites to show up—and show up well—in AI Overviews, AI Mode, and ChatGPT.

What’s working now? Getting those bots to say what you want them to. (It’s good news. You have more control than you think.)

    Presentation Details

Every agency owner is standing at the same fork. AI has taken over the production work, so do you cut your team and pocket the savings, or keep them and rethink what they're for? This session makes the case that the "all-AI agency" is the weaker business (no moat, no equity, and no one to run it but you) and shows you how to reinvest the time AI just gave back into the one thing the tools can't replace: people.

You'll leave able to spot the hidden costs of replacing team members with AI, audit where your team's reclaimed time is actually going right now, and start handing specific decisions to your people so your agency grows past your own capacity.

We'll break down the shift in three parts: moving from doer to creative director, building systems that transfer your thinking to your team, and using that reclaimed capacity to focus on the strategy that actually drives client results.

You'll also get an inside look at the real workflows Alexia's team uses today, including ClickUp project management system, Figma creative direction and feedback, Elementor development, team handoffs and layered QA.

Learn how to build a process where you don't have to touch every pixel for the work to still feel like yours.

    Presentation Details

SEO strategy videos have been one of the best ways I've found to build trust with prospects before a sales call. In this live walkthrough, I'll show you how I research a local business and choose a few useful recommendations for a personal video. Then I'll turn that walkthrough into reusable AI instructions and prompts, and have a browser agent prepare the research and a one-page recording cheat sheet with one prompt. I'll show you what worked, what needed correcting, and where my judgment still matters. You'll leave with a practical process for preparing SEO strategy videos faster, plus a way to document and hand off other tasks in your business while keeping the human connection.

    Live Presentation: 16:00 PST / 19:00 EST / 00:00 UK (Next Day) / 13:00 NZDT (Next Day)

    Presentation Details

Running a web business involves a lot more than designing websites, managing clients and meeting deadlines. There's also the invisible work: remembering everything, making decisions, anticipating problems and keeping things moving, often while juggling responsibilities outside of work.

In this live Q&A, Haley Brown and Sarah Linklater from Women of Web are opening up about the mental load that comes with running a business and managing everyday life.

They'll share their own experiences, what's helped them create more breathing room and the strategies they're still figuring out along the way.

From boundaries and delegation to letting go of unrealistic expectations, this is an honest conversation about recognising what we're carrying and finding practical ways to make it lighter.

Come with your questions and leave with a few ideas you can put into practice.

Same Standards, Any Builder: How I Get AI to Build Real WordPress and HighLevel Sites

    Presentation Release: 02:00 PST / 05:00 EST / 10:00 UK / 23:00 NZDT

    Live Q&A: 02:45 PST / 05:45 EST / 10:45 UK / 23:45 NZDT

    Presentation Details

Ask AI to build you a website and you'll often get something that looks fine until you open it in the builder. Then you find a pile of code you can't edit, sections that fight you, and nothing that follows your standards. After 800+ websites since 1993, I don't build sites myself any more. My AI team designs and builds them to my standards, in WordPress and HighLevel alike. In this session I'll open up a typical AI build so you can see what goes wrong. Then I'll show you how one design, for a demo brand called Marigold, got built natively in both Beaver Builder and HighLevel by the same AI. The difference isn't a better AI. It's a trained one, with skills and a process. You'll leave with a quick test you can run on any AI-built site to tell whether it was built properly.

The gift that keeps on giving: How an online advent calendar builds your list – and your relationships

    Live Q&A: 04:45 PST / 07:45 EST / 12:45 UK / 01:45 NZDT (Next Day)

    Presentation Details

As the year winds down, many business owners start mentally checking out. They’re wrapping things up, thinking about the holidays and telling themselves they’ll get back to marketing when they return in January.

And that’s exactly why December can be such an interesting time to show up.

While everyone else is going quiet, an online advent calendar gives your audience a reason to hear from you every single day. It’s useful, it’s fun, it creates anticipation – and let’s be honest, lead magnets aren’t dead; a lot of them are just boring. An advent calendar is anything but.

In this session, I’ll show you how I’ve been using my own 24-day online advent calendar as a powerful list-building and relationship-building tool – year after year, on my own website and with tools I already use in my everyday business.

You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how I plan the content, structure the calendar, get people to sign up and turn 24 little pieces of content into something that keeps working way beyond December.

By the end of the session, you’ll have a practical approach you can use for your own business this December – or turn into an additional service for your clients.

Rethinking WordPress Maintenance: A Better Way to Run Content-Focused Sites

    Presentation Release: 05:00 PST / 08:00 EST / 13:00 UK / 02:00 NZDT (Next Day)

    Live Q&A: 05:45 PST / 08:45 EST / 13:45 UK / 02:45 NZDT (Next Day)

    Presentation Details

WordPress maintenance has followed the same playbook for years: keep WordPress online 24/7, stay on top of plugin and PHP updates, add security and caching layers, monitor everything, and hope the next update doesn’t break anything.

In this session, Patrick Posner shares what he’s doing differently in 2026 after years of working with Static WordPress and operating more than 500 sites.

We’ll look at what still works in traditional WordPress maintenance, where unnecessary complexity creeps in, and how separating WordPress from the public website can change the way we approach security, performance, updates, backups, and reliability.

You’ll also see a practical workflow where WordPress runs privately when editors need it, the public site is delivered statically, deployments are validated automatically, and WordPress can go offline again afterward.

You’ll leave with a clearer framework for deciding which WordPress sites actually need a traditional always-online setup, and where a simpler approach might make more sense.

The Fastest Way to Make Your Website Accessible

    Live Presentation: 07:00 PST / 10:00 EST / 15:00 UK / 04:00 NZDT (Next Day)

    Presentation Details

Making a website accessible doesn't have to mean starting over, redesigning everything, or spending months fixing issues. But with so much accessibility advice out there, how do you know where to start and which changes will make the biggest difference? In this practical session, Amber will provide a roadmap for the fastest, most effective ways to improve accessibility on websites built with WordPress page builders. You'll learn how to identify common accessibility problems, prioritize fixes that have the greatest impact on real users, and avoid mistakes that create more work down the road. Amber will demonstrate where automated testing tools save time, where manual testing is essential, and why some popular accessibility shortcuts don't work. Whether you're building a new website or improving an existing one, you'll leave with a clear, actionable approach to making meaningful accessibility improvements without getting overwhelmed.

    Live Q&A: 10:45 PST / 13:45 EST / 18:45 UK / 07:45 NZDT (Next Day)

    Presentation Details

After nearly 20 years of building websites, I've seen CMSs, page builders and now AI change everything except one thing: content still comes first. Without it, AI has no context and you get generic, one-shot sites. In this session I'll show how a single recorded client discovery call can be turned into a strategy brief, a site wireframe and StoryBrand-style copy for every page. Then I'll feed that content to AI to build a complete WordPress site from theme patterns in minutes. You'll leave with a repeatable content-first workflow, plus a way to turn copywriting into a paid service for your clients.

How I Manage Client Projects Without Losing My Mind

    Presentation Release: 11:00 PST / 14:00 EST / 19:00 UK / 08:00 NZDT (Next Day)

    Live Q&A: 11:45 PST / 14:45 EST / 19:45 UK / 08:45 NZDT (Next Day)

    Presentation Details

If you're managing client projects across a scattered mix of email, a CRM, Google Drive & Docs, and a project management tool built for managing your internal team or your own business tasks, then you've already experienced the chaotic mess that can be:

    - content submitted in different places,
    - separate email threads you can never find quickly,
    - clients understandably confused about where to submit what,
    - and way too much time spent bouncing between apps like Google Docs, email, and Asana/ClickUp/Trello/Notion, etc

In this session, I'll share why a dedicated, white-labeled client portal (not your CRM, not Asana/ClickUp/Trello etc) is the missing piece for managing & delivering active projects, without giving up your favorite CRM or PM tools. A portal becomes your easy-to-manage, single branded hub for communication, managing tasks, sharing files, and collecting content, which cuts the back-and-forth dramatically!

    You'll walk away with:

    - A clearer idea of what belongs in our CRM vs. our project management tool vs. our client portal (and why mixing them up creates the mess)
    - A look at what a real client-facing portal can include to keep clients engaged without overwhelming them
    - The portal tool I personally use and recommend with an affordable, lifetime-deal (no extra subscription required)
    - A free skill for Claude or ChatGPT to help you draft clear, kind replies to your trickiest client messages.

You'll see each one in action with demo examples, and how all five connect so your projects, clients, content, and tasks live in one place instead of becoming their own mess.

You don't need a Rubik's Cube-level brain to pull this off. You just need the right five tracks, in the right order. Walk away with a clear map for building your own HQ, one track at a time, not a template you'll abandon in a month.

    When the Copy Isn’t Ready:

How to Keep Bad Copy (or No Copy) From Derailing Your Website Project

What happens when your client hands you website copy that just isn’t ready for design? Maybe it’s incomplete, way too long, missing a clear hierarchy—or straight from ChatGPT and in serious need of a human touch.

Poor copy doesn’t just affect your client’s website. It can make your job harder, lead to project delays and scope creep, and leave you trying to design around content that simply isn’t working.

In this presentation, website copywriter Nicole Kepic will show you how to:

    - Spot the red flags that tell you copy isn’t design-ready—before you start designing.
    - Handle tricky copy conversations without insulting your client (or accidentally becoming their unpaid copywriter).
    - Build simple copy checkpoints into your process to prevent delays, revisions, and scope creep.
    - Set yourself up with stronger copy that makes designing easier—and helps you deliver websites both you and your clients are excited to show off.

GenerateBlocks quietly gives you more control over accessibility than most people realize, starting with landmarks, the signposts that help screen reader and keyboard only users find their way around a page. In this talk I’ll walk you through the gems hiding inside every block: the Tag Name setting that turns a plain div into a section, aside or nav, and the Advanced panel with its ARIA Label field and HTML attributes. You’ll see how GeneratePress Theme already outputs real landmarks, where your own asides and menus fit, and when ARIA helps and when it just adds noise. Then we’ll check the page in the browser, so you can see exactly what you built and fix it before anyone else finds the problem. You’ll leave with - A simple rule for when to add a role or a label, and when to leave the tag to do the job - A repeatable way to check your page’s structure with Inspect and axe DevTools - The Landmark Map, a printable cheat sheet in your Power Pack that works on any platform

In this session I’ll show you the automations I actually run in my own business, how each one works behind the scenes, and the simple pattern they all share. You’ll see real examples built with Make, Airtable and Claude, and you’ll leave with clear ideas (and a starting point) for the first automation you could build in your own business. No coding or automation experience needed, just a willingness to steal what works.
